Why Enroll a Child in Métis Family Connections?
- To learn more about Métis identity and the Métis Nation.
- To be up to date on what school education services are available in the community and how to access them.
- Be aware of services offered to MNBC citizens such as The Métis Child Care Benefit (MCCB) Program, the Skills Training, Employment & Post Secondary (STEPS) program, and other valuable services offered by the Ministry of Youth, Ministry of Children and Families, Ministry of Housing, and Ministry of Health.
- To be connected to other Métis families.
- To have support during a child's healthy transition through early learning, elementary secondary education systems and into adulthood and the workforce.
- Opportunities to attend Métis family gathering events.
Serves children aged 0-24 years living in Comox Valley (including areas A, B & C) , Denman Island & Hornby Island. This program is delivered virtually. Families interested in the program can enrol online.
